Barcelona Market Cafe in Westfield

My family wanted to pull off the highway, use the restrooms, and hopefully get a late tasty local lunch. Server was kind enough but some management lady from the store next door was just awful. She complained about us using the restrooms saying they weren't public, then complained that we took too long in the restrooms (little kids) and said she had closed the kitchen. Ridiculous. Could have been handled any number of appropriate ways instead of just being rude.

Stopped to get gas and snacks. Had to use the rest room while my bud was doing the shopping. When I asked, lady just sneared and said restrooms are for our customers only. Said it in such a snotty way. I turned to my bud and told him to put the snacks back. Mcdonalds is just down the street. Losers.

I dropped into grab a few things during a trip and rest for the night. I was greeted as I walked in with my 2 kids. The kids went to grab what they needed… I got a few things and went to pay my bill. The lady behind the counter was so friendly and treated my two sons so nice. After paying the bill my son asked if he could use the restroom. She had absolutely no issues with her letting my seven-year-old boy use the restroom or experience any rude behavior the entire time we were in the store. It is not uncommon for small businesses not to open the restrooms to the public. Don’t just go run in the door for the crapper before you even make a purchase. I actually had to start an account again in order to write a review after reading the negative reviews on this location. She even helped me find my way to a place to stay. Good old home town folks! Bad staff. Snooty attitude. Not sure when health Dept here last. Hope you don't get sick too if you eat here. Gas super expensive too. Get it on Thruway.

Tasty breakfast, nice people. I don't get the bad reviews, except for people who want to use the facilities for free (they should use a rest stop). Stuffed french toast and breakfast sandwich were both really good.

Great food and superior service. Highly recommend them, you won't be sorry.

Bathrooms are not for use by public. Unless you are customer. Breakfast: 1 Rye marble toast was rock hard. Fried potatoes over cooked and greasy.Older women at convenience store (part of the establishment) said the food was excellent. Not great experience.

This was a great find on our road trip. Nice and quiet cafe lunch with great food! The haddock sandwich was one of the best with a crispy crust! The homemade potato salad was tasty, and the tuna melt was perfect. Fast and pleasant service.

That place is awful! The people couldn't be worse there. My mom, aunt and I drive through the I90 and have an emergency want to use the restroom. The waitress allow us to come in while when we are waiting, an awful woman gave us a very hard time and ask us to leave. We couldn't use the restroom even if we purchase things there. That's a very good way of treating customer. That place doesn't deserve a one star review! Awful!!!! Disgusting!!!!!

Really nice small independant restaurant close to the water. Diverse menu including veggie options and great service. So glad we tried this place!
